Ivan Barratt is a 25-year veteran of the real estate industry and currently serves as founder and CEO of The BAM Companies. Ivan is a multifamily owner, fund manager, and syndicator who specializes in large apartment communities in the Midwest. Since 2015, Ivan Barratt has raised nearly $500 million in equity, acquired over 9,000 units, and had over $1.73 Billion in transaction volume. His company, The BAM Companies, has grown to a best-in-class, seven-time Inc5000, private equity, and management firm with numerous cultural awards. Today, Ivan focuses his time on equity finance, acquisitions, and company strategy. Ivan is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC), a former board member of the Indiana Apartment Association, and is a member of The Penrod Society; a not-for-profit arts organization. He enjoys public speaking and has been on countless podcasts discussing real estate, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. Ivan lives in Carmel, IN with his wife and three children.

Adam Ehret directs acquisitions, debt financing, and asset management for BAM's principal activities. With 20+ years of real estate experience and over $2.1 billion in transaction volume, Adam identifies value-oriented, institutional-quality real estate investment opportunities.
Since 2015, Adam has led The BAM Companies to become an operations-focused firm that delivers proven performance through calculated risk management, forward-thinking strategy, and maximized returns. Prior to partnering with Ivan Barratt, Adam worked as a multifamily investment broker for Cushman & Wakefield.
An active member of his community, Adam currently serves on the Board of the Indianapolis Legatus Chapter, Bishop Simon Brute Seminary, Indiana Apartment Association, Saint Meinrad Graduate School of Theology and is a Marian University Board of Trustee. He formerly served on the Board of the San Damiano Scholarship Program, SON Foundation and St. John’s Indy.

Jim has over 35 years of experience in real estate accounting and finance. Prior to joining The BAM Companies, Jim held CFO positions at three prominent Chicago firms: Miglin-Beitler, Pearlmark Real Estate Partners, and Home Partners of America. His experience at these firms encompassed over $5b of gross investments, $600m of equity raised, and $1.4b of debt financing. Jim was actively involved in deal structuring as a member of the investment committees.
In 2016, Jim co-founded North Wells Capital, an investment and development firm backed by a Chicago-based family office. Jim’s experience spans private equity, institutionally backed startups, and family offices. He has a proven track record in capital markets, deal sourcing, strategy, and finance.
As CFO for The BAM Companies, Jim oversees financial strategy and planning, accounting and reporting, tax and audit management, and strategic partnerships. Jim holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and is an inactive CPA.

Emilee Meyers

As the Chief of Staff for The BAM Companies, Emilee is primarily responsible for driving strategic initiatives throughout the organization and overseeing cross-functional groups to ensure teams are regularly working in alignment with The BAM Companies’ mission and vision. A highly trusted executive, Emilee serves as an extension of The BAM Companies’ CEO & COO, representing their interests to both internal and external stakeholders.
Emilee brings 12 years of business expertise in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources & Operations, a variety of experience that has given her a holistic perspective of our organization. She currently retains oversight of these departments at BAM and has been involved in the execution of both acquisitions and disposition transactions totaling over $500M.
Emilee holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from USI and an MBA from Butler University. Prior to joining The BAM Companies in 2015, Emilee worked in banking and commercial real estate.

Greg serves as Chief Business Officer and General Counsel for The BAM Companies, where he sits at the intersection of strategic growth and institutional oversight. As a key member of the executive leadership team, Greg orchestrates the firm’s most complex initiatives, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and the full lifecycle of real estate investment—from acquisition and financing to final disposition.
Beyond deal-making, Greg leads the company’s legal and risk management infrastructure. He ensures that The BAM Companies’ multi-departmental operations, insurance programs, and equity portfolios are not only compliant but structurally optimized for long-term scale. His dual-lens approach allows him to navigate the legal complexities of the industry while actively driving the firm’s overarching strategic vision.

Kylee Kurtz

As a Senior Accountant at the BAM Companies, Kylee is responsible for the full suite of portfolio accounting functions. Kylee oversees accounts payable, utility accounting, reserve disbursements, and renovation accounting. She works closely with the BAM Companies' lenders, auditors, and other third-party consultants to support the financial reporting needs of the $450M portfolio of multifamily assets. Kylee is involved in the preparation of internal company financials and assists with investor accounting and distribution processing. With over 10 years of onsite property management experience prior to joining the department, Kylee brings invaluable expertise and professionalism to the team.

Jayce Everling
Director of Operations (HQ)
Jayce Everling brings his human resources degree, SHRM-CP human resources certification, his Masters of Business Administration, passion for people, and experiences from various industries to the BAM Companies team. After receiving his Bachelor’s of Business from the Kelley School of Business Honors Program at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, he began his career at the BAM Companies in July 2020. During his work experience prior to coming to BAM, he was able to cultivate a variety of experiences in retail, higher education, operations, and team leadership. In May 2023, he graduated with his MBA and holds a SHRM-CP certification as of December 2021. As Human Resources Manager, Jayce is responsible for the hiring, development, training, compensation, and workplace culture of the BAM Companies's impressive roster of talent. Responsibilities include sourcing individuals to join the BAMFAM, working with employee groups in an effort to implement new policies and procedures, creating meaningful opportunities for teams, and anything else that involves employment. Since joining the company, he has continued to grow and was promoted in May 2023 as the Director of Operations, which now includes oversight of administration and information technology as well. Jayce is thankful for the opportunity to work with such incredible, motivated, and insightful individuals every day, and is excited for the future that BAM has in store.

Buddie Nichols
Project Manager
Buddie Nichols joins BAM Construction with over 20 years of relevant experience. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of the construction team and contractors, Buddie also focuses on renovations and special projects. With his extensive experience in commercial real estate maintenance and construction, Buddie is able to work directly with the on-site property management team, as well as residents, to deliver a quality on-time product that meets BAM Construction standards. Buddie’s specialization in renovations and painting projects makes him a natural fit for Project Manager. In his free time, Buddie likes to go on trips with his kids and also spend time outdoors animal watching, disc golfing, fishing, and tending to his flowers and carnivorous plants.

Paul Manawat
Construction Manager
Paul Manawat has over 20 yrs experience in residential and commercial construction. He started his career with BAM Construction in 2015 doing maintenance for scattered sites. Since then, Paul has quickly proven to be a valuable part of BAM Construction and is currently Construction Manager. Paul specializes in apartment renovations but will gladly take on any task needed to fulfill the needs of each project. Paul's level of experience makes him BAM Constuction's go-to for unique or difficult projects. When not working, Paul enjoys the outdoors, skateboarding, playing basketball, video games, and spending time with his two daughters.
